Hi y'all!
I pray you are having a wonderful day of joy and peace and love!
I have been gathering some things together here at my home
so I can have an Autumn Giveaway!
It's a collection of things to make your home cozy for Autumn
and encourage you in your hospitality.
I am not done putting it all together, I should be by Monday.
So, stop back in, m'kay?!
(Last year's foyer decor.)
I'm a Klutz. (Yes, with a Capital "K").
Wednesday, our washing machine overflowed, and I moved everything out of the room,
including the laundry sorter, so I could dry the floor.
I propped up the rolling laundry sorter against the banister in the hallway,
right outside Miss S's (college girl) room,
dried up the floor and got on with my duties.
Later that night, I decided I needed a pillow out of Miss S's room.
I traipsed through the hallway, in the dark, to her room,
and found something beneath my feet.
This something was the sorter that had slid down the wall,
and I was now tripping over it.
As I tripped, I fell. As I fell, I felt my right foot twist one way, & then another.
Then, gravity took over & I fell on my left hip & shoulder.
I cried, probably said a bad word, called to Mark, he came around the corner,
looked down the stairwell, thinking I had fallen down the stairs, I had made so much racket!
Poor Miss A came out of her room to see what had happened to her mommy.
She started crying. (Tender, sweet-hearted girl).
They brought me ice right away and got me into bed,
but not before they brought me that silly pillow I wanted in the first place.
I spent 36 hours in bed (except for trips to the loo).
Healing. Reading. Waiting.
Healing. Reading. Waiting.
Miss A was a most excellent nurse.
A girlfriend from church brought me some crutches, dinner,
an ice pack and an Ace bandage.
I was well-taken care of and felt very loved.
And I was actually glad for the rest.
I finished a WHOLE book, too!
I wrapped my foot, scooted down two flights of stairs on my fanny this morning
because I think I am getting bed sores (just kidding),
and here's what I am doing today.
(I don't have a laptop, so, I have to come to the office
in the basement to blog.)
It's right off the Cafe' de Sous Sol.

It's right off the Cafe' de Sous Sol.
Oh, and since I had been staring mainly at my feet all day, yesterday,
I polished my toenails, a fun Fall orange!
This is also where Miss A sits to do her Online Charter Homeschooling.
I only took shots from my chair, sorry!
Miss A's Schoolbooks.
The paddles below, are from a Nickel Auction Brunch I had last Fall.
I am saving them so we can have another Auction!
Marmee is my girl's nickname for me.
Can you guess what book it's from??
My favorite word.
I covet your prayers for my ankle.
Now that I have to mainly sit, for a week+ I can catch up on saying hi to all y'all!!
Please come back Monday for the WELCOME AUTUMN GIVE-AWAY!
P.S. Don't walk in dark hallways at night without a light.
God made my life complete
when I placed all the pieces before him.
When I cleaned up my act,
he gave me a fresh start.
Indeed, I've kept alert to God's ways;
I haven't taken God for granted.
Every day I review the ways he works,
I try not to miss a trick.
I feel put back together,
and I'm watching my step.
God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
when I placed all the pieces before him.
When I cleaned up my act,
he gave me a fresh start.
Indeed, I've kept alert to God's ways;
I haven't taken God for granted.
Every day I review the ways he works,
I try not to miss a trick.
I feel put back together,
and I'm watching my step.
God rewrote the text of my life
when I opened the book of my heart to his eyes.
Suddenly, God, your light floods my path,
God drives out the darkness.
God drives out the darkness.
