Hello, everyone!
I am so grateful to you that you are here!
To all my new friends I say
'Welcome! Come on in and
sit down.
Let's visit!'
Here's what's happening here today.
A few weeks ago, I signed up to be part of a fun
swap hosted by
Gina paired women from all over the world,
so we could send each other packages of items that we found inspiring and useful.
She thought it would be fun, and so did many other ladies, to
get a box of goodies from someone else and then figure out what to do with them.
I like fun.
Fun is FUN!
Isn't it?
So, I signed up and was partnered with a sweet lady I already knew!
We both are decorators and stagers, and she and I encourage each other on ActiveRain!
My partner is Kathy Passarette, and her pretty blog is:
I opened my package that arrived last night and here's what was in it!
(Ooooh! It's like Christmas morning!)
This gorgeous box is what I found first.
It is precious.
Kathy made this!
(My daughter was with me while I opened this and she wanted to steal this).
So cute!
Then I find a pin cushion wingback chair!
How cute is this?
AND! I needed a pin cushion--
How did you know, Kathy?
Then, some lovely pieces of fabric
that I already know what I am going to do with!
(That's another post).
Enclosed is this sweet note card from Kathy,
and some blank ones for me!
These next items are some ALTOIDS containers,
pink fringe-y trim and twine
and some silver earring dangles-
which my daughter also wanted,
so I am giving her the silver pieces
so she can make me some earrings with them.
She is the jewelry maker in the house.
I also know what I am going to do with the ALTOID containers,
make card holders with them,
like this.
I dig a little further and I find--
some wooden knobs
and a pretty Victorian Lady on a doily.
Then, some pearly mesh ribbon and a mini Calla Lily bouquet.
And last but not least, these things--
postcards and a mini drawer label holder!
(and I love them!)
Cuz I think I love French things, although I have never been to France,
and I KNOW I love bird things already.
And to you, Kathy and Gina, I want to say
This sure was FUN!
And girls,
I suggest that you try to participate next year!
I'll remind us.
Kathy blogged about what I sent her, here:
Blessings to you all as you make your home today!
Now where is my hot glue gun?
