SMART ART -- Wall Groupings using Scrapbook Paper

Ahh-- scrapbook paper! It's so versatile, isn't it?

I think I am addicted to it.

And sometimes, it's just too beautiful to hide in a book, 

or keep in the stack with the other 1,957,497,549 other pieces 

of scrapbook paper that I have brought home with me through the years.

So, one afternoon, not too long ago, 
in a galaxy not too far away,

I found myself once again, perusing the aisles of Hobby Lobby 

during one of their frequent 50% off scrapbook paper weeks.

This means the 12" X 12" paper is .25 a sheet!

I spied several sets of colorful, funky-fun scrapbook paper.

As I wandered around the store, I ended up in the frame department 
and saw that they also carried 12"X12" black frames (record album frames).
They were $6.99 and 1/2 off- hmmm... sounded like the start of a bargain wall grouping.

What brought me to HobLob was that one of girl's bedroom walls needed something.

Something big, colorful and cheap.
Here's what happened.

The print in the middle is a place we have never been 
(but would love to go) is the Place Charles de Gaulle in Paris.

I found four pictures of places we've traveled, and uploaded them to

Wal-Mart's online Photo Center, 

because the prints were the least expensive.

I picked up the 8"X10" pictures during my shopping trip, 

and cropped and matted them on black and white paper.




Can anyone tell me where this picture (below) was taken?

I have used these groupings several times now, in other homes for staging or redesign.

Staging in a boy's room.

A teenage girl's room redesign.

At $3.75 per frame of customized art,
that ain't too shabby, is it?
